About Me

My career in fitness was inauspicious. I never had dreams of being a personal trainer.

I went to college for a performing arts degree (dance choreography). Year 1, I was severely injured and detached half my hamstring off the bone.

Now I could not dance. And my athleticism was gone. I had to walk with a cane for months, and do my own rehab. This was the catalysts that sparked my autodidactic instinct for constant learning in all things health and wellness, starting with the musculoskeletal system.

This injury led me down a path of exploring what were then considered heterodox narratives of health and wellness. Topics today such as soil depletion, the false demonization of sunlight, the usage of phototherapy in healing, the necessity of macro and micronutrients in fetal and natal development, fasting for fat loss and anti aging, paleo dieting,  I was reading and applying these formerly fringe practices years before they ever hit the mainstream.

My perspective on health has always been grounded in historical practice, not modern 20th century fabricated narratives motivated by false dogmas and special interest funding.

Scientific thinking and practice is not confined to academia, but can be practiced by anyone with critical thinking skills.

This experience also taught me humility. I was only 19. And I experienced a loss of physical capacity that only older people go through. While my leg was never the same again, the rehab process instilled in me mental fortitude and sparked my interest in training. I needed to get a job before I graduated, so I got certified and started personal training at a big box gym. And I never stopped.

Ove the course of my 20s I trained thousands of personal training sessions, working in both Silicon Valley, then Hollywood, and finally small town Florida, I worked with a wide range of clients, from tech founders to actors to moms with kids.

The turning point was when I became a mentee of a great bodybuilder and coach, John Meadows, in 2014 and 2015. This experience made me realize that the online market was the future of the industry, and finally in 2017 I launched my own online business.

Since that time I’ve had over 60,000 men use my programs, and have gone from a single man in his 20s who trained solely for aesthetics to a father in his 30s with multiple companies and prioritizing longevity.

All this time, I have continuously experimented, with training, with diets, with supplements, and what is today known as biohacking strategies and tactics.

The reality of health is that the world we live in today is actively working against us. We live in an era of amazing technologies, but also toxic abundance and movement poverty. We need all resources at our disposal to reclaim and optimize our health, both old and new.

My philosophy is simple

  • Health is both a science and an art
  • Application is where we learn what works
  • Do what works, and try to understand why
  • Always be experimenting
